Have you ever broken a bone?
Yes! Two times actually and both while with my borthers.
The first was when I was around 5 or 6 years old and I aas on one of those old swings made with metal with a seat on each end and a metal plate in middle for feet.

I wanted off of it but my brother wouldn’t stop pushing it, so not knowing what would happen I put my leg in between to stop it but when it swang again broke my leg. My brother took off the moment I started screaming and my Mom rushed me to hospital.
The other broken bone was when I went rollerblading with my other brother, we were skating in a park when we went down a small hill and my skate twisted in a crack and I basically fell right on it. My brother rushed me to hospital where they pulled off skate to take X-rays – much more painful than the break! I had to have screws put in to put ankle back together and a cast for a fracture on my other side.
I no longer do anything with my brother’s where bones could be broken! 🤣
“Does anyone know the truth about anyone’s story? Life is just a busted-up vessel, its pieces floating to shore. Years later, folks try to patch them together, but the life’s story is never what it really was. The only one who can retell it truthfully is the one who lived it.”
“When you die, the truth dies with you. All that’s left is speculation.”
KNOW ME AFTER I AM GONE. Chase after me in the wind—the memory of me. Catch my spirit between your fingers and I will caress your skin as I pass through. Be wistful about what could have been.

How do you balance work and home life?
I try my best to not let work get in the way of my life! I don’t believe that life should be lived the way we are forced to!
Who got to decide that we hsve to live to work in order to survive?
We should all be able to enjoy this one life that we are given!
I find stress relief by visiting my big friends. They make me smile and feel so much joy just to be in their presence.

“To understand the soul of a horse is the closest human beings can come to knowing perfection.” – Author Unknown
“Horses lend us the wings we lack.” – Pam Brown.
That quote I find to be true especially when I can ride horseback which I hope to do again very soon!

“The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit, and freedom.” – Sharon Ralls Lemon
Horses are angels with hooves, sent to Earth to teach us about love, trust, and patience.” Pam Brown.
I find that they are such deep spiritual beings and when you look into their eyes you can see into their soul and all you see is beauty!
They make me believe that it is a great life and to just enjoy the ride!❤️

If you can’t travel too far – take a look around your own area around you and try to find those treasures!
I enjoyed today in my own way by getting my fave pastries from my favorite cafe, took a stroll along the boardwalk downtown and saw a family of geese.🩷 The babies are so adorable!
I then decided to pick up a Mother’s day gift for my amazing Mom, then also did a little bit of shopping to see what items I could find.
I did purchase this beautiful art piece made from wood and rocks! It is a unique and fun treasure! It’s a lighthouse, sailboat and Mom and Daughter. Simply amazing!
I also found a couple pairs of my fave type of pants- harem pants! Love those- so comfy!
End of day decided to break my diet for a vanilla ice cream cone dipped in chocolate! So delish!!
Take a deep and refeshing breath of air and push away all negativity- find your joy!💐

What’s the oldest things you’re wearing today?
I love vintage!! I own a few dresses and pants and jackets!
The old clothing is cute and fun!!
I still wear them because I don’t care what others think!
Took the morning to enjoy a yummy pastry from Fresh Baked Cafe.
Decided on the cookie butter which is just delish, so happy it’s not a buffet!
I put the extras into my car-(yes I did)- took a short stroll to the water.
As I sat there I realized that the blazing sun was feeling ever so much hotter!
Luckily there is a small breeze to caress my now very warm self.
Opened up my phone to begin reading my new book on the kindle app alone by myself.
At least I thought I was then realized that I was not alone at this time!
I had a very persistant feathery friend asking to join me- so sublime!
Now it is time for me to set this aside.
As I soak in the rays and feel the breeze and try to read with my feathery friend beside!
Decided to continue my stroll to the beach.
Outside of the feathery bird’s reach.
Sliding my feet into the waters’ edge.
Despite the cold I let the water soak away all my stress that I carried on my ledge!

One January morning a couple of winters ago, I paid a visit to Owls Head Lighthouse, in the aftermath of a northeast gale, to help shovel snow off the light station property. The landscape was beautiful, as it normally is after an event such as this, however it wasn’t the beautiful snow covered hill that garnered my attention. Instead, what instantly captivated me was the lantern room of the lighthouse, which was covered in a wintery glaze of ice and snow from the freezing winds that had buffeted the tower.
In storms such as this one, snow and ice can oftentimes gather on the lantern panes of lighthouses. Sometimes the snow and ice is so thick you cannot see the light shining through the glass, and other times you might see the light’s heat melt the snow and blaze through the wintery elements as they attempt to stick to the lantern panes. In the days when lighthouses were manned, it was the lighthouse keeper’s responsibility to ensure the lantern panes were kept clear during storms, but nowadays the heat from the glass prisms is the only thing that helps to melt the frozen elements. On this occasion, the lens had done a fantastic job of battling the weather, for it melted a hole right through the middle of the icy lantern panes.

It was a fascinating scene that I made sure to photograph, but it also prompted me to write a poem, which I will share with you below. Thanks for reading!
Battleground
A battleground emerges upon this hill,
For across the sea out of the northeast,
The cold wind blows shrill,
As a beacon shines through the din,
Here a winter war does begin,
The fields of battle are neither rock nor soil,
But rather a hexadecagon of glass,
Winter’s invasion brings snow and ice to toil,
The lighthouse readies a guiding flame,
Victory they shall both try to claim,
Upon the glass these two elements fight,
One of fire, one of ice,
Under the cover of the darkest night,
Only the dawn can reveal,
Whom is the victor, and whom must kneel,
The inevitable morning has come,
And as the storm pushes to points north,
Sunlight reigns to show what has become,
A final score to be tallied,
In light of winter’s grand finale,
Though ice abound,
Light has pierced the wintery veil,
Fire is the victor, it shall be crowned,
Atop this snow covered hill,
It stands defiant in the face of the boreal chill
I found this online and felt the need to share it with you!
I feel like a boat being drifted out to sea but they are there as an anchor, making certain that I don’t stray too far from the shore.
There are days in my life when I feel that I have become untethered from reality.
I begin to feel lost and alone in a raft on the rough waves of the ocean as I become the spectator of my life.
The minutes, hours and days just keep recycling over and over, nothing seems to change as I feel the rush of stress and anxiety take over me.
I want to be able to have more experiences and more places to see in this life before it comes to an end but I am always shoved away from any hope of doing so.
Time is fleeting, if only I had the ability to lengthen time and to grow our finances without always a struggle.
I am lucky that I have my anchors in my life to help keep me steady.🩷
