What are 5 everyday things that bring you happiness?

  1. Reading novels.
Mystery novels center on solving a crime, typically murder, using suspense, clues, and a dedicated investigator. Popular titles include The Thursday Murder Club and The Silent Patient, while staples of the genre feature Agatha Christie’s work. Essential elements include a compelling investigation, suspects, and a final confrontation.

Top medieval novels span gritty realism, sweeping historical sagas, and mystery, with Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth, Umberto Eco’s The Name of the Rose, and Sharon Kay Penman’s Here Be Dragons ranking among the most popular. These stories often delve into power struggles, religious life, and romance in medieval Europe.

A romance novel is a genre of fiction that focuses on the central love story and relationship between two people, typically culminating in an emotionally satisfying and optimistic ending, often referred to as a “happily-ever-after” (HEA) or “happily-for-now” (HFN). The genre is a major segment of the publishing industry, known for its diverse subgenres and dedicated readership.

Horror novels evoke fear, dread, and suspense through supernatural, psychological, or visceral means, ranging from foundational Gothic classics to modern psychological thrillers. Key works often recommended include

Stephen King’s The Shining, Shirley Jackson’s The Haunting of Hill House, and Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

5. Last but not least…..thrifting.

The activity of looking for or buying goods from thrift stores or other places that sell used things such as clothes, books, or furniture : This area is full of rich people, so the thrifting is excellent. Thrifting is great when you’re young and want a sense of style on the cheap.

I love to find treasures either at antique shops and thrift stores! Fun to remember items from the past and bring back to the present!
