National Lampoon’s Christmas vacation 🎄🤣

As the holidays approach, Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) wants to have a perfect family Christmas, so he pesters his wife, Ellen (Beverly D’Angelo), and children, as he tries to make sure everything is in line, including the tree and house decorations. However, things go awry quickly. His hick cousin, Eddie (Randy Quaid), and his family show up unplanned and start living in their camper on the Griswold property. Even worse, Clark’s employers renege on the holiday bonus he needs.

I found this movie to be so hilarious and humorous and watch it every year! One of the best Christmas movies in my opinion.

The part in the beginning where the family was going to go cut down their Christmas tree and how far they trekked to get to the one he wanted! Poor Audrey was so frozen!! That so would have been me!! I really hate the cold!! 🥶🥶

I felt so bad for Clark when he worked so hard on the lights for his house and getting everyone to come out and see the beauty only for them not to light up! The anger and kicking the santa decor was hilarious! How funny it was that when they turned on the light in the garage which would then light up the house only for it to shut off again when they turned it off! The frustration he showed is so real!!

I loved how his wife was the one to figure it out evwntually and the lights were so bright! The neighbors were blinded!! 🤣

The excitement on Clark’s face when he plugged it together and the lights shone and even knocked out the power around the area!

Also the part where the Aunt brought her cat wrapped in a box and having the treats mixed in her jello dessert!🤣

I also felt a tug when that poor turkey exploded! Reminds me of the first Thanksgiving we hosted and never made a tirkey before and ended up not eating until 8pm due to us continually opening the oven to check it!!

The scene where his idiot friend Eddie emptied his RV’s crapper into the sewer! Omg! I could just imaginr the horrible stink!

I found it sad when the poor cat chewed on the light cord to the Christmas tree and Clark plugged it in and electrocuted the poor kitty under the chair!

Then the scene where the Uncle lit a cigar and their tree burned completely!

The part where Cllark cuts down a tree breaking the neighbors window…..oooops!!

The humor just continued to flow in this film! So much laughter commenced during it let me tell you!! 🤣🎄 those poor neighbors!!

And the neighbor coming over to confront him and the squirrel and dog! Too darn funny!!

“And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he’s gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse!” 

My favorite line!!!

Following a series of holiday disasters and the news that his Christmas bonus has been cut, Clark Griswold delivers a rant to his gathered family. In the speech, he declares that nobody is leaving and they are all in it together for a “full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency”. He asserts they will have the “hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye” and that Santa will find the “jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse” when he arrives.

The humur is unbeat in any movie in my opinion!
